Jazira sits firmly in the first camp. This is the sweet, incense, floral end of the Malaysian spectrum, rendered with an exceptional degree of refinement. It is reminiscent of an oil we released years ago that sold out very quickly — a profile that has since become genuinely difficult to source in any quantity.
Given current market conditions, we believe Jazira is underpriced. Honestly, by some margin. But Kinana is committed to making oils of this character available for as long as we can source the stock, and that commitment is more important to us than chasing the price ceiling. Wild Malay material like this is being preserved from older inventory that nobody is replenishing, and as time goes on, oils of this character will simply stop appearing.
In the dry down, Jazira becomes slightly camphorous. The brightness of the opening dissipates, and the oil settles into a more sombre profile — though one that remains very pleasant throughout. A quiet showcase of what the Malaysian peninsula has been quietly capable of producing all along.
